Pastor Barry and his wife, Rosemary have been leading our church since 2005. They are native Virginians and have spent most of their 33 years of ministry in the Old Dominion. Barry is a gifted speaker who makes the Word come alive in his insightful and thought provoking messages. Under his capable leadership our church is experiencing significant growth.
Pastor Barry has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College, a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and most recently, a Doctor of Divinity degree from Liberty University. He currently serves the Shenandoah District of the Wesleyan Church as chairman of the District Board of Ministerial Development, which oversees the training and ordination of ministerial students. Along with his ministerial interests, Barry is an avid runner and regularly competes in local races and marathons. Rosemary's primary interests are sewing and quilting. They both love to travel, especially to see their children and grandchildren.
Barry and Rosemary have two daughters: Jennifer and her husband, Jason Patchett, live in Indianapolis, Indiana along with a spoiled golden retriever named Durden. Karen and her husband Artur Bayadyan, and their two sons, Robbie and David live in Yerevan, Armenia.
Pastor Dale is our Pastor of Student Ministries and Worship Arts. Both we and they are excited about joining the Parkway family. Dale and Pam are coming to us from Martinsville, VA, where Dale served as solo pastor of Preston Wesleyan Church. In addition he has served at other Wesleyan Churches in Michigan and New York. Dale was called into the ministry as a second career and completed his ordination requirements through The Wesleyan Church's FLAME program. He is an accomplished musician playing guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and trumpet. Dale has a degree in Church Music from Indiana Wesleyan University. Dale and Pam have been involved in ministry all of their lives. As a hobby, Dale enjoys working on computers and will be managing our website. Another hobby is blogging. Both Pam and Dale write on a regular basis. You can read their writings at www.daleargot.com.
Since August 31, 2009, Dale has become interested in running. Pastor Barry encouraged him to start and the rest (as they say) is history. Dale is progressing in both his endurance and fitness.
Pam and Dale have been married for over 20 years and have three children -- Rebecca, Anna, and James. Rebecca is a student at Southern Wesleyan University and Anna will be joining her in the fall studying English Education. James will be in the seventh grade this fall and plays trumpet.
