Worship Arts

One of the things that we believe at Parkway is that worship is a broad term.  We are commanded to glorify God in everything that we do.  Worship for us is more than just the singing or the preaching.  It is more than what we do for an hour on Sunday morning.  Worship is at the core of everything we do.  One of our goals is to worship God with excellence.  We want to give our Creator the best that we have to offer, because He deserves it.

With that in mind, the area of worship arts covers a range of things that we do at Parkway.  We have many areas for you to get involved.  

Praise Team

Currently our team consists of keyboard and vocalists.  We are looking for additional instrumentalists to add to the team.  

Technical Arts

These are the support roles for the worship on the platform.  We have opportunities to serve in the area of sound and video.  Training will be provided if you feel you would like to serve in this area.

Instrumental Arts

The Psalms mention worship of all types including many different types of instruments.  If you play and would like to be involved either on the worship team or as a special please let us know.

Special Music

We have opportunities for those who are gifted in the area of vocal solos and small ensembles to participate as well.  We would love to have the chance to talk with you about being part of our special music.

Bell Choir

Parkway has a community bell choir and if you are so inclined we invite you to be part of this group which ministers at Parkway and other venues around Staunton and Augusta County.

Seasonal Choir

While our choir does not sing each week, we do have opportunities for you to sing in our seasonal choir.  We plan to present two worship musicals each year.  It may be a seasonal musical such as Christmas or Easter.  Or it may be a worship musical that leads us into the presence of God.  These seasonal choir will be announced and whe they are, you are invited to join.
